Death to the King

A cosmic horror point-and-click experience.

Beneath the weight of a cruel ruler and a collapsing world, desperation becomes stronger than fear.

You have discovered an ancient forbidden book, written in an eldritch language long forgotten by mankind. Its pages whisper of something older than justice, older than mercy—something that answers only to those willing to sacrifice everything.

Rumors say it brings punishment to the wicked.

Rumors say it brings balance.

Rumors say nothing survives unchanged.

Locked inside a lonely house filled with strange objects, symbols, and forgotten relics, you must translate the book, uncover its hidden meanings, and perform the ritual exactly as intended.

But the book does not speak plainly.

Its instructions are written like poetry—cryptic, symbolic, and open to terrible interpretation.

Every mistake matters.

As each day passes, decay spreads.

The room changes. The atmosphere darkens. Reality begins to rot.

What starts as a search for justice slowly becomes a descent into the unknown, where cosmic horror, obsession, and the fear of what lies beyond human understanding take hold.

Will you complete the ritual… or become part of it?

Theme

We’ve interpreted the theme of decay by introducing a deterioration system. Since you’re dealing with cosmic horror, each passing day will lead to the decay of your surroundings.

We chose a very Lovecraftian name like Tz'oma R'hta. This invented alphabet is said to originate from civilizations that worshipped unknown cosmic gods who have since vanished.

The Team

Our team consists of 3 talented programmers who have done a tremendous amount of work, 2 pixel artists—one of whom is a newcomer who has proven herself to be adaptable and capable of working quickly and cleanly, and the other who has already been a reliable asset in Solais,

A composer who has honed his skills in horror, and finally a writer who provided the overall concept and ideas; he gave it his all despite the connection issues and other challenges he faces in his country.

Of course, everyone made up for certain shortcomings by taking on additional roles

There are several "the" in the book, but only one is the correct one, dunno if it was intended. Also words in the book got cramped a bit because of different resolution. But other than that, great game, well done!

Thanks, for trying the game! The several "the" was not intended, thanks for pointing it out. The book being cramped we don't really know what happened, we had one web build that had the book as shown in the screenshots (not cramped), but then we had to submit another build as the submissions time were ending and we assumed it was going to be the same (it was not).
